PARTNERS

Through the Canada Africa Partnership Network (CAP Network) we are part of a shared platform that facilitates partnerships between Canadian and African communities.

In partnership with Royalway Worship Centre in Abuja, Nigeria we provide financial support for their annual food drive program known as “The Hands of Mercy Program. Here they enable over 300 female-headed families affected by widowhood in Ofakaga, Nigeria’s Kogi State to put a meal on the table over the christmas period through providing food parcels

Through the Africa Climate Action Initiative (ACAI) we are part of a network that is focused on working with African organizations to provide support with fundraising, capacity building and knowledge sharing on climate change issues and climate action projects, while mobilizing Canadians in support of these endeavours

Through Nation Builder, we are part of a membership network of like-minded orginisations that are working to build a resilient, thriving and sustainable social sector across the globe.

In partnership with Mothers for the Motherland (an organization that is dedicated to nurturing the spiritual growth and well-being of sole support mothers in Canada and Africa) we provide opportunities for formal recognition of their invaluable contributions to their communities and the organizations they serve

PROJECT FUNDERS

The Supporting Black Canadian Communities Initiative (SBCCI) was created by the Federal government through Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) to help increase the capacity of Black-led grassroots and not-for-profit organizations that serve Black communities in Canada.

Africa Centre was selected as one of the four intermediary organizations to deliver the SBCCI program and provides support to strengthen registered Black-led non-profit organizations through operational and governance capacity-building efforts so that they may effectively establish effective structures, systems and services.

Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) works to improve the standard of living and quality of life for all Canadians. The New Horizons for Seniors Program (NHSP) is a federal grants and contributions program. It provides funding for projects that make a difference in the lives of seniors and in their communities.
