Helping Senior Caregivers Integrate Technology into their Daily Lives

In 2018, Statistics Canada conducted a general social survey on caregiving and care receiving to examine the experiences of caregivers aged 65 and older. Of the individuals that were surveyed, the second most pressing need identified was for support against caregiver burnout that was a result of managing the day-to-day care of their loved ones while also balancing the management of the household and their personal lives

Our Digital Literacy Program aims to help teaches senior caregivers how to use and integrate digital tools and technology into their daily lives to help them manage their caregiving roles, personal needs, and other household responsibilities.

Program Details

The goal is to empower caregivers by showing them how technology can help reduce their stress and increase their efficiency while managing their personal and caregiving roles.

By the end of these workshops, caregivers will be equipped with the digital skills necessary to handle their complex caregiving tasks with greater ease, reduce stress, and foster a healthier balance between caregiving and their personal lives.

While we recognize that the use of technology will not solve every need, we believe that technology can relieve some of the load caregivers carry by enabling them to sort, organize, record, locate, inform, connect, outsource, and administrate various tasks in dependable and useful ways.
